What Star Citizen Package Should I Buy?

Which Star Citizen package to buy is a BIG question many potential citizens have so let’s break them down:

The best starter package is $60 for the Cutter Starter Package. You get a great ship in the Drake Cutter that can fight and haul light cargo. This package will allow you to experience everything the game has to offer – PERIOD.

After that, the Avenger Titan package at $75 will get you a bigger ship than the Drake Cutter. The Avenger Titan is a better fighting ship and can a bit more cargo than the Drake Cutter.

The best bang for buck is, arguably, the Drake Cutlass Black package at $125. Yes this is more than double the Drake Cutter package BUT this is a larger ship than the previous ones that can hold its own in a fight, haul a larger amount of cargo, AND it can haul a small vehicle. PLUS – you can fly it solo OR bring a co-pilot with you!

What Are the Primary Residences in Star Citizen?

Your choice of residence does not matter all that much since you can choose a new residence if you don’t like your initial choice. Here are the major cities in the Stanton system right now:

  • Orison: a floating platform city on a gas giant. This is home to Crusader industries shipyards.
  • Lorville: the industrial city on the planet of Hurston and is home to the Hurston Dynamics megacorp.
  • Area 18: the commercial city for ArcCorp and has massive cityscapes.
  • New Babbage: the headquarters for microTech and is cold and MOSTLY covered in snow.

No matter which one you chose, I recommend visting them all and exploring all the sights and shops they have to offer.
