Star Citizen Dynamic Events

Red Festival – this event is celebrated in late January or early February every year in the UEE (United Empire of Earth). This festival celebrates the end of the lunisolar cycle instead of the solar cycle. This festival is celebrated by wearing colors that symbolize good fortune, eating long foods like noodles and tentacles, and finding red envelopes containging good luck tokens or credits throughout the system.

Coramor – this event falls around Valentine’s Day and stared throughout the UEE when a collapse of a jump point separated long-lost lovers in the Oretani System. Citizens show loved ones they care by giving gifts, sending cards, traveling to romantic places, and sending comms into space in hopes of attracting a new lover.

Stella Fortuna – this Star Citizen event is tied to good fortune and success with new ventures. Citizens will experience feasts, fireworks, festivales and other mass celebrations. You will often see colors of gold and green with this event. It is celebrated each year on March 15th through the UEE.

Triggerfish – this event in Star Citizen is celebrated on April 1st. Citizens play pranks and jokes on each other and shout “Triggerfish” when the joke is complete. This all started when residents on planet in the Magnus II system would try and convince visitors there was a secret planet named “Triggerfish” in the Magnus system. Outlaws would try to exploit gullible citizens with ambushes which forced the UEE to launch an information campaign to put an end to rumors of another planet.

Invictus Launch Week – this is a major Star Citizen event and is often referred to as Fleet Week. This event typically falls on the last week of May and marks the beginning of a new recruiting year and the graduation of the latest class of officers and pilots in the UEE Navy. Citizens will find most of the militarized ships for sale during this period on the Star Citizen pledge store. Invictus Launch Week usually includes a Free Fly Week where you can play Star Citizen for Free.

First Contact Day (Alien Week) – this event is celebrated by Humans across the UEE to commeroate the moment they made contact with non-humans on June 12th. Citizens will find alien ship sales on the pledge store during this time.

Foundation Festival – this event takes place throughout the entirety of July and is meant to encourage the community to volunteer with local and imperial organizations.

Pirate Week – this is special event in Star Citizen where piracy is celebrated. The UEE does NOT condone piracy and those committing piracy will find themselves locked up in prison when caught. This event does feature a ship sale in the Star Citizen Pledge Store with ships commonly used in piracy.

CitizenCon / Day of the Vara – CitizenCon is the annual Star Citizen event where fans and CIG employees get together for a 2-day event where new ships, game features, and more are displayed. Typically this event is held in Los Angeles. The “Day of the Vara” event is celebrated on October 27th and involves festivals, decorations of black and green, and more to remember and honor the dead.

Intergalactic Aerospace Expo – this event, typically around mid-November, is where all of the ship builders get together to display their ships at one of the major cities convention centers. This is the biggest ship sale in Star Citizen where citizens can purchase every ship that is OR will be in Star Citizen. This event always offers the chance for interested citizens to play Star Citizen for Free for a week.

Luminalia – this Star Citizen event is celebrated on December 22nd and includes an Advent Calender with free gifts for citizens, discounts on starter game packages for new citizens, hidden gift boxes in Stanton, and a screenshot contest to win ships. Nine Tails Lockdown – “The Nine Tails pirate gang has locked down a local rest stop, and local security forces need your help. The rest stop will also be short on medical supplies, which could be an opportunity for a significant payout for all traders and cargo haulers out there. And just in case you tend to live with a crime stat, Nine Tails may even try to recruit you…”
